so, news is in that the spider-man franchise is getting a reboot.
to this i say, "thank the gods!"
as far as i'm concerned, so much was wrong with the first set of movies. the green goblin dressed as a power ranger, kirsten dunst as mary jane, skipping over most of peter's time in high school.
and the third installment was just a disaster.
let's get that kid from sky high in as peter, keep him in high school for at least the entire first film, if not longer. don't ignore the existence of gwen stacy. this could turn out pretty awesome.
my friend martha and i have these elaborate plans to create a sitcom that is essentially about us infiltrating hipsters and drinking a lot in brooklyn.
so far, we have a few episode ideas.
prime of which is "ryan and martha kill a drifter."
premise: ryan and martha are friends that share a shitty apartment in bushwick. they go on many an adventure, usually fueled by drugs and alcohol. ryan will be a barback and martha will work in an office. there will be a steady supporting cast, including martha's unattractive wingman, eunice, and our enigmatic friend that lives in the same neighborhood, michael.
we'll be filming a pilot for this relatively soon. will be awesome.
and tonight, the first night it feels like it, i'm taking full advantage. cigarettes, my side porch, folk music, and a six-pack of cheap beer.
is there really any better way to spend the first night in florida that is under 65 degrees?
i think not.
unfortunately, as is the nature of my life, i'm alone. granted, this happens less than it used to recently.
in fact, i've built myself an amazing circle of friends in recent months. gotten back in contact with some of my best friends. made new amazing friends. i might be inspired in future posts (taking a note from an old friend's blog) to tell the world about how amazing my friends are.
